Sensor Software Configuration

While not a universal problem, it is not uncommon to find sensors that require, for one reason or another, 'special treatment' with regard to software configuration. Early on, the most common problem was reactivating sensors after the support processor went into sleep or low power mode, where power to connected sensors was invariably cut. Other sensors have unique interface configuration requirements.

In battery powered configurations it has also been necessary to monitor battery health, but the hardware provided to do this, and thus the required software configuration, is anything but consistent.

Like everything else on this site, this Section is a work in progress. As I am able, I will endeavour to include here, details of the software configuration required to support the range of sensors that have been employed in my applications.

For the time being, details of specific software requirements for specific sensors are included under Hardware > IoT Nodes > Assembly > Sensors.
