Board Stacks
Board Stack Stand-Offs

In addition to holes aligned with the mounting posts in their respective enclosures, all boards include four 'stacking' holes, suitable for use with 2 mm stand-offs (I have used both copper and nylon stand-offs), to enable several boards to be physically joined together in a 'stack'. This technique can be used to provide more real estate for circuitry and sensors or to simply allow the main processor board to be mounted higher in the enclosure to avoid fouling with other enclosure hardware.

Stack Mounting Points
The most common application of board stacking in my projects has been to provide support for solar panels or bulky sensor connectors.
